I just got back from seeing The Dark Knight. HOLY SHIT! It SO lived up to the hype. Especially Heath's performance as The Joker. He was so perfect! It really is a damn shame that he's dead.

I'll admit, it did get a little dry in spots, but it wasn't for long. Over all, OMFG!!! SO GOOD!!!

I just made the worst fry bread. That doesn't seem possible, but I managed.

I was looking at videos of people making fry bread on YouTube - you know, as you do - and I got the worst craving for it. But it turned out really tough and bland and not delicious.

I haven't had internet access since Monday morning because I've been house sitting my sister's place. I'm trying to catch-up with LJ, but I'm 16 pages into my f-list and I'm STILL only on July 2nd!! Why is it always damn near silent when I'm online but as soon as I'm away, it blows the fuck up???

Is it wrong that I want to see these guys in porn?

I didn't go to Faire today beacuse I messed up my ankle somehow yesterday. I ended up hobbling my way along to Mother's Day lunch.

Faire was out of control yesterday, specifically drum jam at the end of the day. MTV was there filming Tommy Lee and his band and Ludacris and his posse... or whatever. Me and another guy from our troupe were playing our drums and there were probably 20 or so people hanging out and dancing, when a couple of guys from MTV come running over to tell us we're doing great, keep it up. A bunch of people from other troupes finally joined us and we had a crowd forming.

All of a sudden a FUCKTON of people come wandering over and I see Ludacris stroll over to sit on the hay bale next to where we're drumming. Then I see Tommy Lee wandering around and tons of camera men pushing through all the people that are dancing.

Eventually, I realize Tommy Lee is standing behind us on the hay bale we're sitting on. He eventually gets down and stands beside us, then starts playing someone's drum. Does he have a show on MTV, because I'm totally confused about what all of that was.

Anyway, our troupe leader, Marjhani, led a synchronized dance number for Ludacris, then she danced by herself in front of him. HUGE Oojahm presence on camera. It was awesome.

EDIT: Apparently, it wasn't for MTV. It's some show on The Discovery Channel.

I used to love Japanese pop culture, but now I hate Japanese pop culture.

considering that I had only managed to make it through one and a half days of Faire in April before being sick through most of the month, but...

BEST FUCKING WEEKEND OF FAIRE EVER!!!!!

GOD! I had SO MUCH FUN this weekend! I'll see if I can find some pictures from other people since I can't take any out on the streets when I'm there. You know, what with cameras not being period and all that. We had a guest troupe with us this weekend and they like their music played REALLY FAST! One rhythm wasn't bad, but the other they wanted was a killer. I fucked-up muscles I didn't know I had.

I was kind of dreading doing more faires after this one, but now I'm really excited to get to the others. We have Corona next, then Big Bear, Las Vegas, and I think one other that wants us to come by. I think those are all just for single weekends.

VEGAS FAIRE!!! I can't wait for that one!!

So... my job ends in mid April (I'm seasonal), my mom was just told her job is letting her go at the end of April, and my sister thinks she's about to get the axe at her job at any moment.

Yup.

GOOD TIMES!

On the upside, I'll be working part-time for my brother-in-law after Faire season and my mom just started collecting social security. Her checks amount to just about the same if not a little bit more than what she's making at work.

Really, it's going to suck for a little while, but this is probably the fire we need under our butts to make some life changes we've just been too lazy to make.

It will all work out for the best. I know it will.

It had fuckin' better, anyway.

It's outdated, but I can't stop watching it.




I really wish I could poop. I feel like I have a massive turd on deck and it won't... come... out.

The good news: The kitchen faucet has been replaced and is no longer leaking hot water.

The bad news: There is a pipe leaking hot water under the kitchen floor. You can feel it if you're barefoot.

The really bad news: The homeowner's insurance is still in my dead grandmother's name (we're living in her house... which is still in her name) and we don't know if we're covered for anything. Fixing the leak will most likely be absurdly expensive.



I did my first actual tax return today. I'm expected to do AT LEAST another 49 this season.
